Biostar confirms it will showcase next-gen AMD motherboards at Computex 2026, hinting at new chipsets ahead of Zen 6 CPUs.
Biostar has confirmed it will showcase “next-generation AMD” motherboards at Computex 2026, signaling early movement toward the next wave of AMD hardware.
The company said the lineup will include a new Valkyrie gaming motherboard alongside more mainstream models. While details remain limited, the “next-generation” label suggests these will not be refreshes of existing AMD 800-series boards. Instead, they could point to a new 900-series chipset, potentially including X970 or X970E variants.
The timing aligns with expectations around AMD’s upcoming Zen 6-based Ryzen processors, which are widely anticipated but not yet officially announced. Industry estimates suggest these CPUs could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027, likely alongside new motherboard platforms.
Biostar also confirmed it will showcase Intel 800-series motherboards, AMD Radeon RX graphics cards, and a range of memory and storage products. This includes support for both DDR5 and DDR4 memory, as well as SATA and M.2 PCIe SSDs.
The announcement positions Computex as a key venue for early visibility into next-generation PC hardware. If Biostar introduces new AMD platforms, similar announcements from other motherboard manufacturers are expected to follow.
However, broader market conditions could influence adoption. Rising memory prices, particularly for DDR5, may impact demand for next-generation systems even as new processors and chipsets arrive.
As the industry moves toward the next CPU cycle, Computex 2026 is likely to offer the first concrete look at how hardware vendors are preparing for AMD’s next platform transition.
