Google Ads Groups YouTube Campaigns Under Shared Reach Goals

Google Ads Groups YouTube Campaigns Under Shared Reach Goals

Google Ads has launched video campaign groups, a new tool that lets advertisers manage reach and frequency across multiple YouTube campaigns from one place.

The feature is now available globally for YouTube reach and frequency campaigns. Google said similar capabilities will also come to Display & Video 360, allowing advertisers to coordinate delivery across multiple YouTube line items.

Focus on Portfolio-Level Control

Video campaign groups sit above existing campaigns. Advertisers can set one shared reach or frequency goal for the group, while each campaign keeps its own budget, creative and targeting.

Google then coordinates delivery across the campaigns to help them work toward the combined goal.

The tool also adds a unified reporting view, allowing advertisers to see metrics such as unique reach and average weekly impressions across the full group instead of reviewing each campaign separately.

For media teams, the update is designed to reduce fragmented campaign management and make it easier to control how often audiences see ads across multiple YouTube campaigns.

The launch reflects Google’s broader move toward portfolio-level campaign management, where automation helps advertisers coordinate performance across related campaigns rather than managing each one in isolation.
