Dubai Chamber hosted B2B meetings in Johannesburg as South Africa–Dubai non-oil trade topped R129.2 billion in 2025.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce has organised a series of bilateral business meetings in Johannesburg to strengthen commercial ties between companies in Dubai and South Africa.
The meetings formed part of the chamber’s New Horizons initiative, which supports the international expansion of Dubai-based businesses. The trade mission included representatives from 24 companies across sectors such as construction, electronics, engineering, FMCG, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and technology.
The initiative comes as non-oil trade between South Africa and Dubai continues to grow. Bilateral trade exceeded R129.2 billion in 2025, representing a 265% increase over the past decade.
The relationship is also reflected in chamber membership. By the end of Q1 2026, 873 South African companies were registered as active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, with 45 new businesses joining during the first quarter.
The chamber also hosted the Dubai–South Africa Business Forum in cooperation with government, diplomatic and business organisations from both markets.
The forum highlighted investment opportunities in South Africa and positioned Dubai as a hub for companies looking to expand into regional and global markets.
The mission reflects Dubai Chamber’s broader effort to build international partnerships and help local companies enter high-potential markets across Africa.
