Anthropic could publicly release its IPO filing as soon as Friday, Oct. 23, moving the Claude developer closer to a potential November stock market debut.
Yahoo Finance reports that Anthropic is preparing to make its S-1 prospectus public after confidentially submitting a draft to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in June.
A public S-1 would give investors their first detailed look at Anthropic’s financial performance, spending commitments and business risks.
A draft prospectus reviewed by The Wall Street Journal reportedly shows Anthropic generated $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026, up sharply from $1.1 billion a year earlier.
The company recorded an $80.7 billion net loss during the same period. However, roughly $72 billion came from non-cash accounting charges related to convertible notes and other financing instruments.
Anthropic’s third-quarter revenue reportedly reached $16.8 billion, up 45% from the previous quarter, while the company posted adjusted profitability.
Investor expectations around the company’s valuation remain unsettled. Earlier estimates reached $2 trillion, while more recent Reuters reporting suggests some investors are considering valuations closer to $1.5 trillion.
If Anthropic proceeds, the offering would become one of the biggest tests yet of public-market demand for rapidly growing but capital-intensive AI companies.
